VPK-September 2014

We have had a busy first few weeks of school and we will continue to stay busy.

Did you know we have been illustrating Nursery Rhymes for our book of poems? We have also been creating a Bible journal and writing journals too!

Please gather up some family photos that we may keep in our classroom. Anyone who is important to your child is fine. It does not need to be just the immediate family. Children often have a favorite cousin or aunt/uncle that they would like to share. Please don’t forget about “Fido”.

Please mark your calendars for SHUMPS Open House on October 10th  @ 6:30 pm.

Our Annual Storybook Parade will be on October 24! The parade starts at 9:30 a.m. If you are unfamiliar with the parade we ask that you and your child pick out a storybook character to dress up as for the parade. We have lots of fun for all.. it’s something you do not want miss out on.

Looking ahead I will also need five parent volunteers for Friday, October 31st  for our Great Pumpkin Day! We will be pumpkin scientists for the day. This will be a messy pumpkin smelling kind of day before warned. Volunteers will get dirty. For those who do not want to get dirty, we will need five pumpkins that day! Please keep your eyes out for the sign up sheet!

I have put together a calendar to help keep everyone informed. I have the theme of the week and letter of the week listed on Sundays. Our bible verse that we are learning is listed across the bottom of each week and any other important events are listed daily as well. I hope this helps to keep everyone informed at a glance.

Thank you for all your support and generosity. We have been having fun getting to know one another.
