November 2014  Wow! What a busy month we have had! We have been learning all about pumpkins, the life cycle of a pumpkin, tasting pumpkin seeds and ending the month with a day of being Pumpkin Scientist. A big thank you to all who have helped and donated to our class. We had a blast learning all about our pumpkins.   Looking ahead to November and December will be busy for us too! Please mark your calendars early with our important dates.      The week of November 10 will start our parent teacher conferences. A sign up sheet will be on top of  our cubbies. We will be staying here late on Thursday, November 13 for your convenience. However, there will also be times in the morning and during lunch time. If there is a scheduling conflict, please see Ms. Barbara or Ms. Patty. Each conference will be approximately 15 minutes.  On Thursday, November 20 we will be having our second annual feast with the three year old class. Please plan on joining us at 11:00 am sharp as we will have a surprise for our families as well as having prepared the meal. Please be on the lookout for donations that will be needed as well as volunteers to help set up, decorate and heat up and serve our food. The feast usually lasts about one hour.    Friday, November 21 is our last VPK day of the month, November 24, 25,   26 are non-VPK days and SHUMPS will be closed on Nov. 27 and 28 in observance of Thanksgiving. Please check the newsletter for the cost that week for children in wraparound class.

Our units for the month will be Things that go Together, Growing Things, Food and Nutrition and  Under Construction.      The letters will be G, S, J and review week.

Thank you again for all of your support and help!
