Our Toddler program allows children to develop their communication, concentration, self esteem , social skills and cognitive and language development. We encourage the development of physical skills through throwing, stacking, building, eye-hand coordination, climbing, hopping, creative movement and riding toys; language development through comprehension games, nursery rhymes, stories, poems, reading, child- teacher interactions, puppets; social and emotional skills through empathy, independence and sharing; development of creative thinking skills and encouragement of creativity through arts and crafts activities. Children are encouraged to explore the various centers independently, as well as working cooperatively with their friends. Our teachers also make sure to communicate with you regarding your child’s experiences by providing a daily report for each child with all the details you need to know! It includes the basics such as your child’s eating, diapering and sleeping schedule, along with fun and informative details regarding his or her activities for the day.
The children will be introduced to a variety of lessons throughout the year. The thematic lessons include: Learning about myself, Enjoying People Who Love and care for Me, Exploring my world, Discovering God’s Natural World, Expanding My world.
The ratio in the toddler room is 1 teacher to every six children giving our teachers an opportunity to work in small groups.
